Filtration

KWM Series

The KWM range of membrane filters is ideal for applications where contamination control, sterility, and reliability are essential.
Featuring pharmaceutical‑grade hollow‑fiber elements housed in stainless steel casings, KWM filters remove particles, microorganisms, and aerosols while minimizing pressure drop and maintenance requirements.

High-performance

Filtration

Membrane cartridges provide efficient separation of particles, protecting critical equipment, finished products, and processes from contamination.

Purity

Clean Air

The range’s stainless-steel housings with PTFE and PP membranes support pharmaceutical and food requirements.

Consistency

Stable flow

Very low inlet differential pressure preserves compressor efficiency and ensures stable downstream pressure, even at high flow rates.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Industrial and sterile grade membrane filtration

These filters are designed for compressed air and process gas systems requiring clean, dry, oil‑free air. Installed downstream of dryers and pre‑filters, they act as final polishing or sterilizing elements. Asymmetric hollow‑fiber membranes enable efficient capture of fine particles, aerosols, and microorganisms, ensuring industrial and pharmaceutical requirements for controlled environments.

The range supports flow capacities from 2 to 320 Nm³/min, allowing flexible sizing and simplifying equipment and spare‑parts standardization. SUS 316L stainless‑steel housings combined with PTFE and PP membrane materials for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and food applications. The design also allows in‑line integrity testing, enabling verification of filter performance without removing the unit from the system.

Membrane core

At the core of every KWM filter is a membrane cartridge composed of asymmetric hollow fibers. Compressed air enters the housing and is evenly distributed across the membrane bundle. As the air flows through the fiber bores, particles, aerosols, and microorganisms are retained within the membrane structure, while clean air passes through. The depth‑filtration mechanism provides high retention efficiency while maintaining very low differential pressure.

FULL OF FEATURES

High-capacity membrane cartridges and stainless-steel housing

High-capacity membrane cartridges - The KWM range covers flow capacities from 2 to 320 Nm³/min by varying the number and size of membrane cartridges within each housing. Smaller models utilize a single compact cartridge, while larger units can accommodate up to fifteen cartridges. This scalable design ensures consistent filtration performance across the entire range by matching effective membrane surface area to system demand.

Stainless-steel housing - The housings are manufactured from stainless steel, providing excellent corrosion resistance and smooth, easy‑to‑clean surfaces. Internal flow geometries are designed to minimize turbulence and prevent particle accumulation, facilitating sanitation and sterilization procedures while reducing downtime. This makes the KWM range well suited for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food production, and other hygienic or controlled‑environment applications.

Why the KWM series stands out

Selecting the KWM series membrane filters means adopting a solution that combines high air purity, robust mechanical design, and regulatory‑compliant materials.

The range delivers consistent filtration performance across multiple lines and sites. Stainless‑steel housings, pharmaceutical‑grade membranes, and in‑line integrity testing support verified compliance in regulated environments. In addition, exceptionally low pressure drop helps reduce energy consumption while preserving compressor performance.

MORE FEATURES

Low differential pressure, validated materials and integrity testing

Low differential pressure - The KWM series is optimized for low energy consumption by maintaining minimal differential pressure. The combination of high‑surface‑area membrane cartridges and carefully engineered inlet and outlet flow paths minimizes pressure losses while supporting efficient filtration performance.

Validated materials and integrity testing - KWM filters are manufactured from materials that comply with stringent pharmaceutical‑ and food‑grade quality requirements. The membrane elements and supports are made of PTFE and polypropylene, while housings and metallic components are constructed from stainless steel. Each filter is compatible with in‑line integrity testing methods, allowing verification of membrane integrity and proper operation without system disassembly.
